GIANT LIFE is the thoughts and opinions of myself, Max Kirchoff, a self-proclaimed giant and generally big dude. Through books, blogs & articles on size, I realized there was very little that just helped me get through my day, year or life. There are hugely important dialogues about size happening throughout our cultures, and while I will touch on those my point is more about perspective, user experience, and where the hell to buy a pair of jeans.
What you won't find here
You won't find a rating or judgement of largeness and fatness and other distinctions like that. I'm not going to shame someone with a shorter stature who is, say, the same circumference or weight as me. It's not about me proving I'm not as large as someone else. Though I may talk about size and compare things like height or weight or build, it is not to shame or create disparity - but to acknowledge our shapes and sizes when it matters.
If you're here because you're interested in my perspective or want to be part of a conversation, that's great! Please, PLEASE let me know if you ever feel like I'm treating anyone(s) with judgement or shame in the way I write.
If you're here to talk shit about people of a different size, you should find another website. Can I recommend reddit or a bodybuilding forum?
What I hope you will find here
My thoughts, experiences and tips on navigating this world as a person of size is what I really wanted to provide. Some of it will be for everyone; some of it won't. I may get a little into the weeds on user experience sometimes, but hopefully you will find that info useful or educational. I hope you will find some short bits of content that either delight you or encourage you - and better yet, some times to start a conversation with me or your friends.
I would love for someone to find encouragement in the things I share. That's somewhat of a moonshot, but hell, I have to start somewhere.
